ASCENSION OF JESUS IN THE HEAVENS Andrea Della Robbia. Basilica, the chapel on the left of the main altar donated by the Ridolfi family of Florence. Size: height m. 4,75; width 3,05 Consists of 680 pieces. At the center, above, beyond some trees, the Redeemer ascended into heaven with open arms. To the right and left, there are eight angels. Below, kneeling, the Virgin and the eleven Apostles. The table has two frames: decorated the inside of nineteen Cherubs' heads. The outer has thirty bunches of leaves, flowers and fruits. |
